In a interview with GQ, Lebron James was quoted as saying something that made me laugh,

James explained he’s always had an uneasy relationship with Cleveland because he’s from Akron, a half-hour away. ”It’s not far, but it is far,” James said. ”And Clevelanders, because they were the bigger-city kids when we were growing up, looked down on us. … So we didn’t actually like Cleveland. We hated Cleveland growing up. There’s a lot of people in Cleveland we still hate to this day.”

Being from the Akron area, I was never witness to any type of rivalry between the two cities, but then again, what do I know, maybe I’m from a earlier generation. I would only argue the distance between Akron and Cleveland.

On another note, I had the opportunity to see Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers play the Orlando Magic last year in November. A big thank you to Paul, Renard, John, and Stacey for a great time. Oh, and the seats were great, I wanted to sit there and bounce popcorn off of Shaq’s head. I guess this is where I should enter the obligatory, “Go Magic”, “Be Magic”, or something along those lines. Oh, well, how about, “End of Line.”

Over at The Digital Photography School’s forum, the weekly assignment centers on Film Noir, a technique used in films such as The Maltese Falcon. As I am not familiar with the idea behind it, I decided to test out some settings in Manual mode and see what comes of it. The end result is the photo above. Not very impressive is it? The attempt was not at the idea of Film Noir directly as lighting and mood play a large part of the scene, but the technical settings behind it. Much better examples can be found here.

I’ve owned this camera since December of 2007 and I must say that I’ve learned absolutely nothing about it. The most I have learned is how to adjust the ISO setting. This experiment is an attempt to learn it or give it up.
